Similar to many other cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, designed it with a finite supply in mind. This means there’s a set maximum limit on the total number of Bitcoins that will ever be created. Overall this is a good thing as nobody can print more of bitcoin, thats what happening with fiat currency and is not good longterm.
